Australia’s best poets on show at Gold Coast Writers Festival

Some of Australia’s best poets will be in action at the Gold Coast Writers Festival next weekend, Friday 26 October, starting from 9am in the Meeting Room at the Robina Community Centre. It’s seldom such a stellar line-up of published and performance poets are brought together in one venue so this is a chance not to be missed.

The morning kicks off at 9am with Lesley Synge, an accomplished performance poet who has produced a movie and sound track about her experiences walking the Gold Coast hinterland.

Other poets taking part are Duncan Richardson, Phillip A Ellis, Vasudha Harte, Anne Gleeson, Caroline Glen, Holly Zwalf, Andrew Leggett, David Hallett, Rosanna Licari, Sara Moss, Stefanie Petrik, Brent Downes, Cameron Logan, and keynote reader Robin Archbold. There will even be an open mic so bring along your own poetry or that of a friend and be prepared to read.

For more info about the poets, other writers, program and venue, please check out http://www.goldcoastwritersfestival.com

Looking forward to seeing you there!
